Visit Montebello Lakes and Chiflón Waterfalls

At 8:00 we will pick you up at the hotel and head to the eco-tourism park Chiflón Waterfalls, a place where the San Vicente River (one of the most abundant in the state) gives rise to a series of waterfalls such as El Suspiro, Ala de Ángel, and Velo de Novia, the most impressive with a 120-meter drop which we will ascend to the highest viewpoint in front of it. In this area there is a zip line (not included in the price) in case you want to use it and there will be time for lunch.

We will continue our trip to one of the most beautiful places in the country, the Montebello Lakes, a spectacular ecosystem made up of mixed pine and oak forests, Bromeliads and Orchids where 59 lakes emerge and we will have the opportunity to paddle a cork raft through several lakes.

The tour will end at approximately 20:30h at the hotel in San Cristóbal.

Night in San Cristóbal de Las Casas

Visit Sumidero Canyon, Viewpoints, Chiapa de Corzo

At 09:00h we will pick you up at the hotel, transfer to the corresponding vehicle, and continue to the Sumidero Canyon, home to endangered species such as river crocodiles, spider monkeys, and ocelots, a pond formed by the Chicoasén Dam which is fed by the Grijalva River and flows through the Sumidero Canyon. The journey is taken on a collective boat and lasts about an hour and a half, reaching the Christmas Tree.

At the end, we will visit Chiapa de Corzo, one of the magical towns of Chiapas, a colonial site of tradition and culture, valued for its history as it was the first city founded by the Spanish during the 16th century.

We will also visit 3 of the most important viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon where we can see from above the route traveled by boat.

We finish between 17:30 and 18:00hrs.

Night in San Cristóbal de Las Casas

Visit Agua Azul Waterfalls, Misol Ha, and Palenque Archaeological Zone

At 04:00h we will pick you up at your hotel in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. We will make a stop in Ocosingo for breakfast (included), then continue to the Agua Azul Waterfalls, which are located 133 km from San Cristóbal de Las Casas. The Agua Azul River descends over its limestone bed in steps, forming impressive waterfalls that create natural pools; the color can only be seen during the dry season.

At the end, we will transfer to the Misol Há Waterfalls, a waterfall of approximately 30m high, which forms a large pool at its base, located near the Palenque archaeological zone.

We will also visit the Palenque Archaeological Zone, a pre-Hispanic city and national park inscribed in the World Heritage in 1987 as one of the main Mayan sites that influenced other settlements in the Usumacinta river basin. Before the archaeological visit, you will have time for lunch.

We will finish in Palenque at 17:00h, then transfer to the Palenque hotel.

Night in Palenque

Visit Yaxchilán and Bonampak
Visit Yaxchilán and Bonampak

At 05:30h we will pick you up at the Palenque hotel and begin the tour to the Yaxchilán Archaeological Zone. We will cross the Corozal border, where the Escudo Jaguar ecotourism center is located, via the Usumacinta River, where you will be able to appreciate an evergreen rainforest landscape that shelters this archaeological site famous for its sculptural art seen in stelae and lintels.

The surface area of the Mayan city is very extensive, but the visit is currently restricted to parts of the great plaza, the great acropolis, the small acropolis, and the south acropolis. The great plaza is accessed through building 19, also known as the labyrinth. This tour can also be done with a local guide (not included).

After the tour we return by the Usumacinta river and make time for lunch. We continue to Bonampak, located in the heart of the Lacandon Jungle. Of the complex, only the Great Plaza and the Acropolis have been explored. In the first, stands the magnificent stela, which shows Chaan Muan II dressed lavishly to celebrate his fifth year of government.

On top of the acropolis, the Temple of the Murals was built, which has three chambers: in the first, the ceremony of presenting the heir to the throne and the lord's provisioning by several servants is shown, as well as the scene of the musicians' procession. The murals were never finished and after painting them the site was abandoned for reasons still unknown. Their discovery in 1946 allowed us to learn about one of the greatest testimonies of Maya culture. This tour can also be done with a local guide (not included).

After the tour we move to the Lacanja cabins to rest.

The tour can last between 3 to 4 hours. At the end, we will return to the same place and allow time for lunch before waiting for the corresponding vehicle to return to Palenque, arriving between 19:30 and 20:00h.
