Kaatsheuvel The Netherlands

Kaatsheuvel is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant, located along highways N261 and N628. With a population of roughly 16,600, it is the largest village in, and the capital of, the municipality of Loon op Zand, which also includes the villages of De Moer and Loon op Zand. As the municipal capital, Kaatsheuvel had a town hall in the center of town, which was torn down in 2010 as part of an ambitious plan to create a lively new town center. The new center, provisionally called Bruisend Dorpshart (Sparkling Village’s Heart), is currently under construction. Kaatsheuvel is internationally known for the Efteling theme park and as a gateway to Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park.
